i remember what PG stood for back in the 50’s & 60’s and it wasn’t Parental Guidance. Today’s PG movies almost take you to the point of how a female gets PG.
I’m old enough to remember G, M, R, X. I decided the ratings were a bunch of bull when “Poltergeist” was allowed to show a guy clawing his face apart in gory detail but not a woman getting undressed for a bath.
I must admit that I sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable with some of the levels of violence that can be seen in some PG films. It seems like the line for “acceptable” violence has shifted quite a bit and has become more permissive (at least to my sensibilities).
