    Don’t try it, the chair will fall over. But that could be because modern furniture makers have forgotten why they put ladders on the backs of chairs.

    Kids have no idea of how old is old. My sister once asked Daddy “When you were a little boy and George Washington was president. . .” He stopped her right there. “I didn’t come to America until after he was out of office. Go ask your mother.” (He was born in Australia and came to America when he was in his early teens.)

    It is not a ladder. The back is left open in part so your body does not get hot and sweaty while sitting at the table for a long while.
