@Number Three In today’s slightly funny strip our Hero Mr Andrew Capp has never paid for a round in his life not even when farthings were around :o) I still have some old coins somewhere that used to belong to my dad , I even have a gold Sterling , have you ever seen any of the old British currency? in my avatar today Leroy is wasting time playing Solitaire like I do last thing at night before going to sleep , how was your day? mine should be quite , but Connie’s Saturdays are always busy , I help by getting out of her way :o) take care pal and wish your dad a belated Happy birthday.
“He’s not worth a farthing or a tinker’s dam !” was an expression of derision, often used by my grandma, when referring to a worthless, lazy person.
( It wasn’t until I was older, that I discovered tha a “tinker’s dam” wasn’t his curse but referred to the job of patching he’d done on a pot or a kettle. )
Saw a deer while out walking yesterday. Regarding today’s strip, I do have a small coin collection that includes a few British coins, but no farthings.
I used to collect old coins but I think they were all foreign. I was once late for school because me and my Mum were picking them all up from the big field around the corner from us. Goodness knows how they got there in the first place.
Do you play solitaire from the menu on Windows 10?
