I heard it in a rerun of “The Office” just the other day – in the context of cleaning out old customer files. ”Scranton Mimeograph Company?” Ahhhhhh that smell…

When I was in the early school years, we had a mimeograph; I had a turn to literally crank out the copies. And in the middle school years, I’d see the boxes of punchcards outside the office. Good times, and grade 6 was ideal to have the first moon landing be a school event

I’m very glad that our technology has continued to improve, but I do miss getting to work the film projector in school when we had to watch a reel movie. That’s something the guys in class enjoyed. (And, of course, the rapid clicking as the reels turned is an extinct sound these days…)

Don’t know if this is still a thing or not, but there was a Facebook game awhile back where you had to describe how old you are without using numbers. For my part, I’m “no TV remote control” years old.

I have a friend who could rival Slip from the Bowery Boys for her malapropisms. Every year she dutifully goes for her mimeograph.

Had to look this up to see what it meant. I don’t remember ever using using one. Boy, I got here way to late for this strip.
