I was idly staring at a box of detergent one day and discovered that “La Mancha” means “The Stain”. Did Cervantes have some kind of moral significance in mind, or did he just like the way the name sounded?
Hmmm… Is the 2nd panel what Don Quixote thinks he sees and the 4th what is really there? Both the man and the woman are significantly different in those panels.
