I’m starting to think Bucky’s little vendetta with the little muskrat may be justified.

At first in panel 2 I thought Fungo had pulled one out of wherever he keeps his stogies; then in panel 4 I was right: he does have somewhere to keep them. Also it’s good that carpeting is made out of synthetic material, otherwise he could have started a fire in panel 3.

I thought Rob and Fungo didn’t have any problems. Maybe none we were aware of…

I’m hoping – for Rob’s sake – that the floor is a hard surface, rather than carpeting. Cigar burns are quite permanent in carpeting and upholstery.

Bucky’s right, Fungo’s a %$#!

“Well, that one’s out, Fat Boy! Mind if I fire up another?”

Fungo is not very much fun.

Fungo is an even bigger jerk than Bucky…no wonder they don’t get along. Each one is trying to be the alpha jerk!

Sometimes a cigar extinguished into the carpet is simply a cigar extinguished into the carpet.

I had an English professor once who pulled this stunt. He was smoking in front of the class in a no-smoking classroom when someone came to the door and told him he had to put out that cigarette. He walked to the window, opened it wide, and threw the offending item into space, then closed the window with a flourish. The monitor left, the professor closed the door, then pulled out his cigarette pack, extracted a fresh device, and lit up.

Where does Fungo keep his cigar box… and his lighter?

Now Wilco has to explain this to his landlord. “A visiting ferret put his cigar out in the rug”.

He’s supposed to be Satch’s friend. Not really acting like it.
