I love my books, they are like pets to me…but, I have an original Kindle and a recent Kindle Fire that are my boon companions for traveling. They weigh less, I can have my pick of fav’ reads and they fit in my purse!!! But, nothing beats the weight, texture, smell, look of a hardbound book!!! Old ones smell peppery and are soft and smooth and heavy. New ones smell like glue and are crisp and often, surprisingly light, even if they’re hardbound.

And it’s always on and never needs batteries.

Where did you swipe it from, Dad?

It’s an interesting idea, but I don’t think it’ll catch on.

You do know that you don’t have to steal them. The library will lend them to you.
