17 lbs so far after about 45 days. Slow and steady, eat what I want, just not as much and actually do some exercise. 53 to go. I seldom look at the scale as day to day change is not much. But in the right direction.
I dutifully track my exercise and weight. I do go up about 5 pounds this time of year. Some of it might be eating, but I notice a lot more gaps in the exercise due to weather. Since October I don’t think that there has been a week where I was not rained out or snowed out of my morning walk.
We are now approaching January where I get frozen out. I do not walk when the temperature is below 20 degrees.

What I lost when I saw the scale was hope.

What scale? I can’t see any scale.

My scale usually just says, ‘One of you has got to step off.’

The only place where I don´t feel like a loser is on my bathroom scale.

If that’s the only thing you are losing, then your wife also needs a diet too.
