I heard that when the furry community was starting out, new members would be given a black and white picture of Robin Hood and asked what color they wanted their fursona to be.
Things have really progressed since then. Now it’s Sonic the Hedgehog.
Back before I started writing HAVOC, INC., I was given a badly drawn sketch of either a newt with a goiter or a winged platypus and asked to color it in with a gray crayon. The result was not pretty in SO many ways, and resulted in many years of costly therapy and pecan pies. I never bothered with a fursona.
Now I’m dying to see a volume Marigold in various elegant or cool candid poses while wearing ridiculously stupid hats. (Could make for a very nice art book for charity, right? :) )

It’s crazy how Robin Hood went from one of Disney’s least popular movies to one of their most popular.

Well, the Disney version’s song “Whistle Stop” sung by Roger Miller made way for the ear worm of a song “The Hamster Dance” some years later.

Should we picture Mickey, Donald, and Goofy as unicorns?

Actually, all stories are about humans. The animals are metaphors.

The Disney version of Robin Hood was the only version I ever really knew.

So a unicorn film about WW2 would show the Germans as unicorns wearing coal scuttle helmets. The fancy ones have spikes on them already.

I imagine that they are watching the animated film Robin Hood of Disney made in 1973, right?
