It’s sometimes said that in Newt Gingrich’s office there are filing cabinets that are full of his ideas. And in one of the drawers there’s a slim folder labeled GOOD ideas.

Memories of my boss emailing me documents to “proofread”.

There could be another box labeled, ‘Stupid ideas the boss came up with we’re gonna do anyway’.

I once had that job! I’m a good writer, and was hired to make everything sound positive, no matter what. If only 30% thought it was good, I couldn’t say “only”; had to make it an enthusiastic WOW thirty percent. Harder to do than you’d imagine.

She’s even got orange hair to match the orange boss.
