Buying cards after Christmas this year to send them out next year is a good idea. Then you forget where you put them and wind up buying new cards to send. Then you buy more after Christmas to send the following year and…..

Jacquie Lawson ecards are awesome. I’ve been sending them out for years. Pay membership once a year, and you can send beautiful animated cards all year long. No complaints from my Christmas list…everyone seems to love them.

I do this and store the cards with all the rest of the Christmas stuff in the attic. That way I know where to find them.

This year’s (2018) birthday card was signed from “Mom and Dad”. She died early in 2017. When I saw it, my initial reaction was Dad learned how to sign cards in Mom’s handwriting.

Before I can say anything, Dad says he found this recently in a pile of papers and was unsure of what to do with it. His voice was breaking as he spoke. We sat there for a moment remembering Mom. I am having a hard time writing this right now, because the screen keeps getting blurry and I keep misspelling words (at least according to the computer).

Mom and Dad had five kids and Dad says he only found this one card. He found other unsigned cards, but this was the only one that was addressed to me and signed.

I am not a sentimental person and usually do not keep birthday or Christmas cards, but I will keep this one.
