OXO is a maker of kitchen utensils, housewares, and office supplies. It spells the same backwards, forwards, mirrored vertically, mirrored horizontally, and spun 90, 180, and 270 degrees.
I am grateful they traveled that way. If the Wiggles had all died, they might have returned to the original puppets. This video is, to me, the scariest moment in children’s TV programming:

I still play it occasionally for my now-adult children when they come to visit. For some reason, they are coming less and less.
If we can’t detect dark matter, how can we tell that we’re in the middle of a dark matter “hurricane”?
We can’t, it’s just a theory, and until the theory is proven true it’s still just a theory. And the theory is because there is a stream of stars passing through our local arm of the galaxy that came from a smaller galaxy that the Milky Way ripped apart, the scientists theorize that stream is accompanied by a stream of dark matter. And so to make it more exciting, they called it a “dark matter hurricane”.
Wow, exciting, huh. So the meteorological equivalent of naming things dramatically (“polar vortex”?) has now caught on in other branches of science. Oh joy… SMH
Those who live by the motto “The show must go on”, and don’t know that that applies only once the show has started, NOT that you must do the show regardless of anything that happens before the show starts.
There was a fourth fact missing from this panel. It would have read, "Approximately 50% of people who read this column have difficulty differentiating between ‘upside down’ and ‘mirror image’. Believe it or Not! :-)
BONUS FACT: What you see in the mirror each day is the opposite of what everyone sees when they look at you (yes, you’ve been parting your hair on the wrong side all these years. You’re welcome).
