Because, you know, I’ve noticed that you’re a lousy hunter.

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

I wanna know what those ‘hibernating creatures’ would’ve said.

We are truly blessed that Mr. Johnson has been able to produce such a good strip for so may years. Merry Christmas

My “animal” (aka, a house cat) already got me something, in the form of a dead mouse… of course, that’s her JOB, so… ;-)

Our cats talked to us every day, not just Christmas Eve. We didn’t always understand what they were saying, but they talked a bunch.

I love every single panel. 1,3,and 4 could stand alone as wonderful “awwww….” moments!

It’s the thought that counts, Luddie! Arlo’s just as happy without that kind of gift!

Every Christmas Eve it’s the same subject, and it never gets old!

This reminds me of my sweet Dixie Lee she sleeps beside me. Yes she is the one in the profile picture.

Our cat adopted us, riding home with me in the engine compartment of my car (long story, about 100 miles). It took a long time for him to become a lap cat/snuggle bug, but he finally came around. He’s given me a few mouse presents as well.

I need to borrow the cat for a week.

Ah Ha !! I knew it !

Love that story. Always told my kids about it. Enjoy your references every year to it. I like to think my memory kitties visit too. But then I’m a sentimental old fool.
