Objection, your honor — this strip easily could have been coordinated to the appropriate time of year, yet they don’t even synch up Sundays. Have some respect for one of the greatest cartoonists ever, folks.

Whoever is getting payment for these strips is barely phoning in their job.

When I die and come back as a ghost, do I have to bring my own sheet?

How about a comment about the comic which we have in front of us? I like it. My kids would wear their costumes as many days as possible in October before Halloween and I’d make repairs before the big parade. CB should be applauded for ghosting around a week early (in his cartoon time).

All you have to do is look in the bottom right hand corner of the final panel to see Schulz’s hand written date (which GoComics erases out of the regular Peanuts strip). October 29th, and this is a 1951 strip. If I remember correctly, GoComics started running Peanuts Begins in March several years ago, not October 1st like the very first Peanuts strip originally ran in 1950. So the date will always be off. And when they start rerunning (like they already have), then the dates will get even further off.

They don’t synch up Sundays on Peanuts Begins because he hadn’t started doing Sunday strips at this point.

The early strips are very impressive. I can’t recall when I started reading Peanuts (too young for the early ones) and seeing them now is great. I even got the 1950-1954 collection, also great, but the strips are in black-and-white. These color ones are outstanding!

I think it is great to see Halloween again. It’s still fun.
