were you hoping, Charlie Brown, there going to be an ice cream social at Patty’s house?

So what ice cream did she get?..

Can’t blame a guy for trying!

That left poor CB cold!

I remember hand dipping and weighing pints and quarts of ice cream in my Grandmother’s general store. Always a little over to keep the customer happy.

With a stretch of the imagination, I can see that someone might prefer something to chocolate, but not liking chocolate at all? How is that possible?

WHO doesn’t like chocolate ice cream?

And THIS is why people started treating him like dirt later on. He was insufferably full of himself at this point in the strip and annoyed everyone with his habit of making everything all about him!

Not like chocolate??? Weird!

I forgot CB did not like chocolate ice cream. And there goes all my sympathy for him.

Patty isn’t pointing to anything yet she doesn’t ask for a flavor. And Charlie Brown’s comic book seems to be levitating!

And yet the colorist will continue to use brown for Charlie Brown’s ice cream scoops 95% of the time, suggesting chocolate. Superior flavors out there.

And at that exact point in time, when Charlie Brown told the world he didn’t like chocolate ice cream, that his popularity began to drop.

GASP!!!!. Not care for chocolate?!?!?!? Charlie Brown, you ARE a blockhead! You are BANISHED!!!
