Blast from the past: I was about five and the babysitter decided it would be a good idea to teach me and my two siblings to play bridge, of all things. The other two kids were eight and nine, so that didn’t work. I do wonder today what she was thinking.
My mom made a couple of “card holders” out of Velveeta boxes for the younger grandchildren to use when we played games involving a lot of cards like Uno. They were able to understand the rules, but their little fingers had trouble holding more than ten or twelve cards at a time.

“I’m not playing with a full deck,” angrily says Calvin after being unable to shuffle cards.
“That’s what people say,” cheerfully says Hobbes.
“Really? Then why didn’t somebody go buy some new cards,” asks Calvin as walks away, tossing the cards over his shoulder.
“Hey!” yells Calvin in bed to Hobbes.

You can visualise the 4th Panel when you see the 1st one.

Chuck is so bereft of friends, he has to play the “52 Pickup” joke on himself.
