Stips like this always remind me of the “monsterous hill” in the front yard of the house we were living in when I was a toddler. As I’ve said on here before, we moved out of the area when I was young and moved back when I was just about in my teens. I expected to see a good sized hill in the front yard when we went by the old house one to see a basically flat front yard with maybe a slight dip. And as I’ve said before turned out what I remembered as a monsterous hill was nothing more than a snow bank my dad had built up for me to sled down. Maybe no more than three or four feet high at best. But when you’re about one to three that snow bank seems fifty feet tall and the sled seems to go a hundred MPH.

Memories of growing up in the flat area of the Midwest. The highest “hill” I knew of as a kid was a mild slope about a foot.

He just let you ride, so you would pull the sled back up the hill.

Making the best and getting all the enjoyment he can with a simple slope. Very nice.

Like the “ski hill” in the backyard I learned on…not much longer than my skies.

I actually remember this comic from years ago. Maybe because I liked it as much then as I do now.

They were certainly lucky not to have been thrown off that sled as it sped downhill.
