Yeah, that’s a goal to grow out of. Then you just want to be good. Then , you want to just be okay. Now, I just want to be left alone.

I tried to make myself perfect for others more times than I can count.

Perfect what, CB? Idiot? A$$? P@!n? Be specific! :D

No one is perfect.

When “Peanuts” got more Christian later on, CB could simply defend his remark by saying he was just following the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5.48). Fortunately that never happened.

Violet is practical; Charlie is philosophical. She will never be disappointed, because her goals are never out of reach. He will always be disappointed, because he is reaching too far.

Don’t do it, Chuck. I did and now I have nothing to do. :P

If she was living through these times, she wouldn’t want to be a nurse at all.

I still ask kids what they want to be when they grow up. I’m trying to figure it out myself and I’m looking for ideas.

Perfectionism is a lonely highway to oblivion…

Well, Sparky’s second wife decided to monetize Charlie Brown and all the gang and now Sparky is the richest dead cartoonist in the world and she’s doing ok as well. I applaud her for that as other cartoonists are doing the same. Even for just the collections.

In CB’s case perfectly incompetent.

Impossible since your view of perfection as seen from a flawed brain will never be perfect. When some people notice one that can do something they can’t many of them get bruised egos and strike back.
