Hate to break it to you, Lucy, you were the only one up for the trophy. Well that specific “World’s #1 Fussbudget” trophy. There are hundreds of them being awarded each year you know. Pretty meaningless to win three years in a row when the are hundreds of others who have gotten the same title for those same years.
I’m pretty sure I first came across this word in Peanuts, and I still use it today. It’s how I describe myself to my students when I’m emphasizing the importance of attention to detail. The actual term I use is “professional fussbudget.”
