Ironically, Lucy and Schroeder are going to have the exact opposite relationship!

While Ludwig himself never married and had children, are there any distant nephews/nieces and/or cousins today that still bear the Beethoven surname?

Trivium: In the earliest days of the strip, Lucy was younger than Charlie Brown and Schroder was introduced as a pre-verbal toddler. Eventually all three were written as the same age, but Charlie Brown reading to the other two seems to echo when he was clearly the elder.

By “ALL” Schroeder of course means FUSSBUDGETS.

I thought Lucy would gladly marry Schroeder.
