It’s not Heart’s fault. She was tactless but what she said was accurate. Kat’s audition was terrible and the director didn’t do her any favors by casting her anyway.

If I remember being a girl Heart’s age (and I don’t), she’s going to have to ramp up from “apology” to “pennance”. The question is how.

You did what you could, Heart. Best to have the photo of you and Kat removed.

There’s also that little thing about being in the same musical together.

Don’t any of you believe in Happy Endings? I may be wrong but I think it will turn out ok in the end.

It only takes one to break up, to make up it takes at least two.

I’d recommend to start the penance by withdrawing from the play. Or giving the role to someone else and taking a background role.

Now I see some past comments saying that Heart was out of line and that this was the culmination of years of her being a bad friend to Kat or something. But I’ve been reading the archives and we haven’t seen any of that. This conflict is made up… Ok, “contrived”. It did not happen organically because it couldn’t. For this to work, Kat and Heart scenes needed to make up a substantial portion of past strips, but the foundation simply isn’t there. This would actually work better if the conflict was between Heart and Dean.
It’s like when you have a movie where 2 characters fall in love at the end, but then one of the actors doesn’t want to be in the sequel so they broke up off screen in the next movie; we’re all wondering what happened, and the story just chugs along. At least this is fun to analyze. ;^)
