Dumb mechanic. Anyone who reads Pearls today knows it’s called a “great tube o’ silence”.

Carburetor? Monty must have a car at the very least, 28 years old… I think the last car sold new in the U.S. with a carb was in 1991…

Looks like they didn’t check the “johnson rod” or the “eye-dee-10-tee” valve.

Never argue with the mechanic. He holds all the cards—or spark plugs, or wires, whatever. You get the point; also the shaft. And so it goes….
