Yes, beets.

You can’t get blood out of a turnip, crew.

Of course it may be a bit orange after Louie’s artistic contribution.

I don’t know why everybody on the planet does not like Overboard—beets me.

I don’t think dogs can see red. It won’t matter what color they hydrant is.

Don’t worry about the beet juice. It’s a yellow fire hydrant now.

Louie is also very discreet…..only coloured the hydrant yellow where it wouldn’t be easily seen….

I thought it was a Dalek.

Nate is my hero!!! Louie is so loved. Almost makes me wish I lived up north so I could make a snow fire hydrant for my dog. In our town they are painted silver so they are easier to spot at night. I don’t know if that would work in the north, though.

Looks like it’s critically-acclaimed!

And yet this shows up as a WHITE hydrant, because the colorist had no clue what the first panel had to do with the second.

No problem not being red yet… It will be yellow soon enough.

Guess Nate was a little slow there. Maybe he should stick with food coloring next time?
