How did they BOTH get captured? They have weapons,
it’s not like they threw them away, like cat boy, or tried to
give up, like Al’s friend….I thought ‘mutants vs. topsiders’
was a fairly balanced conflict….
@Doggard
Yeah, but they KNEW they were being tracked…..
No, I don’t want to be one of those folks who wants
to dictate how the plot should go. Mr Neathery has a
great story here, and it’s keeping me on the edge of
my seat (BOTH story lines)…..this is just my gut
reaction to the latest plot twist.
There were about two weeks of plotted action concentrating on the alligator and pig but I nixed the lot of it because it interrupted the story’s flow. This is really about the cat. Suffice to say, neither the alligator or the pig are good at dodging MUTTs.
but you established that the Alligator knows when they are being followed and that the Pig is not a bad shot with a FP Raygun:-) I concluded that the Cat would get away and so would the Gator and pig…. and the gator and pig would go back to End Town and the plot with the Kitty would go on….
I think the chromosome count probably remains the same so if the mutations haven’t made them infertile, the mutant humans can have children.
Acquired traits tend not to be inherited, so the children could initially be free of mutations.
If their immune systems have adapted to the mutagenic factor, they may stay free of mutations, but if not, then they may mutate in the womb, which would be very bad for the mother if the mutation is monstrous and not just zoophenological.
If the acquired traits are incorporated in the DNA of all the cells, then they could be inherited, in which case the children would have a mix of traits from both parents. Al and Gustine’s children would probably look half as rhino as Gustine.
It hasn’t been established yet whether the mutation infection is one-time only or if children of exposed parents can also mutate when exposed. It might be possible for someone who was initially immune to the infection to lose resistance.
true that might happen if the mutant Gen changes.
If exposure to the outside Air is a factor then it might not effect the child until it is exposed to outside Environment
Random Mutation Suggests that this mutation is Random in some respects but not in others seems to effect the gens that Govern Form Only.
same way you can turn a Chicken into a Turkey just by Adding the DNA at the right time.

@harmgb: Not if you have short stubby legs vs. a weird, wormy, four-legged thing with human intelligence so you’re basically fighting one on three …
Looking forward to more, Aaron … Cheers, Gloria

how much does their dna change and what would gustine’s baby look like?
Doggard over 13 years ago
humm not entirely sure there…. I am assuming two things 1 they have a baby and it’s normal 2 they have a mutant baby. that looks like mommy.
