Actually, it is. You have way more leg room, there’s no second passenger you have to be jammed up awkwardly beside, the trip’s bound to be WAAAAY shorter, and you’ve got windows on three of your four sides to look out of.
An 18-wheeler clipped my car decades ago when my dog was loose in the car like Sophie. Mine was only shaken up, but she could’ve been killed as a projectile in a worse accident so I never traveled with her again. My current dog has a restraint harness hooked into a seatbelt latch whenever we go to the vet. I recommend all dog owners protect their dogs in the car.

When I was a kid, and we’d drive to grandma’s for Christmas, I got the whole back of the station wagon to myself.

Yes Sophie. The nice spacious back of the car with room to stretch out and even the odd snack is much better than flying.

Airplanes don’t have drive-thrus. That they can easily fit through. Unless you try really hard. Most people don’t like trying hard like that.
