Hope she hurries, when the Repubs get done repealing health care reform and gutting medicare it will be all we seniors can afford.

JoneFoster: Medicare is one of the biggest reasons medical care is so expensive. All that “government money” (which means, other people’s money taken away by taxes) inevitably bid up prices (economics 101), which is what happens in any subsidized market.

Plus, Medicare regulations have had a giant effect, such as decades ago when Medicare declared it would only pay for semi-private rooms, which made cheap hospital open wards disappear.

Besides, Medicare was never really about health care anyway, but was just another step in trying to make every citizen dependent on the government for all things, the eternal dream of the Left.

(BTW: I’m a senior on Medicare, but at least I know I have no right to it. Lest you think that’s hypocritical, I’m not the one violating the rights of others, and as long as the money is being taken in my name, I’m more deserving of the stolen money than someone who believes in taking it from someone who earned it to give to someone else who didn’t. If Medicare ever gets repealed and I need medical care, I’ll either pay for it myself or ask for charity, the way it should be in a voluntary society. Can I assume you and everyone else who believes in Medicare will donate?)
