I bought a frizbie for my dog.On the package were instructions, “How to train your dog to play frizbie.” It had several steps. The only one needed for me was, “In case of golden retriever, throw frizbie.” My dog lived to frizbie and I miss him.
Are we sure the wolf-like creature is a canine or a feline? Sunday, I watched a guy with a drone and his two dogs at play. The dogs couldn’t stop chasing the elusive drone that their master drove just 15’ off the ground. After a few minutes the dogs began to tire. A good thing too, for had the drone lost its power, heaven help it at the paws of those two dogs.
Both my doggies were fetch fanatics. Sometimes just straight throw/fetch/throw, sometimes throw/keep away/throw. They wanted to keep playing long after I tired of it…
The day after I learned to juggle, my calves were on fire. I was mystified until I reconstructed the previous day: Toss a bag up, toss the second one, bend to pick up both bags… AHA!
My son had an adaptation of an atalat – The atalat was invented about 10,000 years ago as an extension of the human arm. It was a curved stick with a notch in which one could fit a spear. My son’s version was adapted to throw a ball … about 150 yards. He’d exercise his dog with it.

When you play fetch play fair. The animal won’t like it to be fooled too often.
