The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

The thing I’ve always wondered about lesbian sex is, how do they know when they’re done?

Hey, reread -carefully- what Mona said in the first panel: “Donna and are not in…” She didn’t say “Donna and (I) are not in…” Hmmmmm…!!

I don’t know Mona… Considering M Smokey is a figment of your imagination, you might have to rethink that statement… :P Just sayin’.

Hector, my understanding is that faking’s not so much an issue in these circumstances.

Q: Why can men never tell when women have real orgasms? A: Because they’re never there.

    Back to the cartoon:

“Everyone was so worried about who was going to want to see [Black Swan]. I remember them being like ‘How do you get guys to a ballet movie? How do you get girls to a thriller?’ And the answer is a lesbian scene. Everyone wants to see that.” – Natalie Portman, Entertainment Weekly, 1.7.11

And why would a stuffed rabbit care what goes on in a bedroom?

And people like Natalie Portman shouldn’t use the word “everyone”. Not “everyone” wants to see a lesbian scene or whatever else people misuse the word for. Making an assumption like that is irresponsible.

    “Donna and are not in…”?

“…nor will we ever will be?”

    Fetishizing.

Why do I think this is Jen’s response to any questions about Mona and Donna’s bachelorette status? If they’re not spending every day trying to snag a boyfriend, then the average comic strip reader is bound to get suspicious. Remember, this is a comic strip, and a comic strip woman must always be on the hunt for a potential husband if she isn’t already married. The Ryan story must have sent up some red flags when Mona chose Smokey.

What’s wrong with a couple of old maids living together anyway?

cnrsarah, hyperbolic idiom isn’t necessarily irresponsible; it’s a common rhetorical device, if the usage is intended and understood as hyperbole. Everyone knows that.

wrong again- the relationship didn’t work out b/c mona never wanted to have kids whereas ryan did. they realized they had different life goals.
