Who does that? Trim the toenails, buy shoes that fit.

Some decades ago, they could repair that. But today, the knowledge to do that is almost lost.

My husband goes through socks because he trims his nails only when they start to bother him. They end up scything their way through his socks, but at least they aren’t sharp enough to cut holes in his shoes (yet.) . :P

The men at our church put an end to the “Women’s Sewing Circle” oncevit was determined that more husbands were “darned” than socks!

I suppose the only ones who would get this are the ones still buying comic strips.

The procedure is to toss the one with the hole, keep the one without the hole for 5 years in hope that it will eventually find a match from another pair where one gets a hole. I have half a drawer full on lonely socks.

Buy only one color brand and style.. then throw out the one that has a hole. Only those that can knit socks can mend them..
