My recently divorced son is the father of a 3 year old. He took it upon himself to purchase a sewing machine and I’ve witnessed him mending princess dresses. I have to tip my hat to him. He’ll do what ever it takes for his daughter.
I badly needed 1/4 credit to finish my junior year, so I took a typing class – turned out I was the only boy among 30 girls, plus it is the only thing I learned in high school that was actually worth knowing…

My boys took sewing in Home Ec during junior high. They didn’t learn much but they got to give it a try. Made them feel empowered, of all things. :D
