Experience has shown that either job can make a consumer groan or laugh or guffaw on successive days, depending on the way each product is mixed. Had some really lousy coffee and some really great cups from favorite shop. Same for the comics.
Empathize with the kid, too. Taught both middle and secondary boys and girls. First group of boys usually arrived looking like the proverbial unmade bed. Very relaxed and mostly fun to teach. Second group eventually picked up a slight hint that girls were somehow different than boys and in a good way. Then their appearance improved from unmade to ready for. . ., and tension increased. Much less fun then.
