At some point I think most kids have seen their parents as monsters of some sort.

Alice: How ’bout me?

Peter: Only as a small and annoying one.

Alice: Oooh, can i See?

“Yeah, Mom! I drew you as big monster, but, I drew it making you Thinner!”

All great artists annoy someone. You can’t be expressive otherwise.

Remember, mom. He’s being honest with you.

Thompson is a master of nuanced expressions. I always love how he draws mom.

If she looks at it the right way, Mom will be flattered. While he was drawing she was his Muse.
