What? It doesn’t help if Odie has a good dream, Garfield?

What is Odie dreaming about with his tail wagging? A bone, playing ball?

My Boston Terrier doesn’t have much of a tail – a curly pig-like tail – but he still wags it from time to time.

That tail wagging is using way too much energy. If you want to be like Garfield, you have to conserve energy as much as you can.

Here is an interesting fact. Dogs wags their tails if they are excited to see you, though wagging their tail is a way of communication, and if they wag their tail at you, it is not always for good reason. If a cat wags their tail, and as with a dog, seeing a cat wag their tail tells you much, but seeing a cat wag theirs is not a good sign. If they do so, then they are most likely utterly annoyed, for example when a cat is on a table whilst visiting a veterinarian for inspection. Dogs and cats both make great pets, and while canines and felines share many similarities, they are mostly inverses of each other in various aspects.
