“Nay,” asks Opal in order to obtain confirmation. “Yes,” says Earl. “Okay,” replies Opal, “we’re going to the book club together”, tricking Earl.

They’re reading a book with Fabio on the cover. The 59 year old Fabio on the cover.

“Contains” implies the ‘Y’ is in the middle. “Includes the letter Y” may have been more accurate. But Opal knows when to pick her battles.

Can’t say I blame Earl…most times the book isn’t even discussed at length and more emphasis is on “ lunch and drink” .☺️

Do I have to read a book?

Take separate cars so the husbands can go to the nearest sports bar.

Why would you invite Earl? So that he could embarrass you, Opal?

Probably reading romance novels, I would say “Nay”, too!
