Great artwork! As for “extreme” Disney, I think Disney’s work has often been nightmarish. When I was a small child I watched a wooden boy have his feet burned off before the fireplace in the animated Pinochio. Plenty extreme.
Like EPCOT? A community in and unto itself, virtually no government oversight, yes paying taxes which were then returned to the organization that controls it – virtually every dime went right back to EPCOT. A community with almost complete social control granted to it as well. At the time even just people with long hair weren’t admitted to the park, let alone the community. Oddly enough the ultimate gated community/company town/uber-HOA never really caught on even with the homogenized crowd it was designed to lure in.
After Disney’s baloney about Michael Jackson, I told my 3 boys that we are not going to Disney World this year, or any other year. Instead we are going to be spending our time at Six Flags over Mid-America and the St. Louis Zoo. As a matter of fact, the more I look on line, the more I find that St. Louis has a whole lot of things for children.

No matter what Lio wears on his head, it seems that the cowlick (or whatever it’s called) has to stick out (see Friday’s “Lio” as well)…

It’s a small world, it’s a small world
It’s a small world, it’s a small world
It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears
It’s a world of hope and a world of fears
There’s so much that we share, that it’s time we’re aware
It’s a small world after all
(Everybody now) it’s a small world after all, it’s a small world after all
(Everybody now) it’s a small world after all, it’s a small, small, small, small world
There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone
Though the mountains be wide and the oceans are wide
It’s a small world after all (Come on, come on)
(Everybody now) it’s a small world after all (can you hear me now) it’s a small world after all
(Everybody now) it’s a small world after all, it’s a small, small, small, small world

It’s a small world after all, no matter if you’re big or small
Come on everybody let’s bounce to this
Let’s play some love with a little twist
It’s a small world, it’s a small world
It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears
It’s a world of hope and a world of fears
There’s so much that we share, that it’s time we’re aware
It’s a small world after all, it’s a small world
(Everybody now) it’s a small world after all, it’s a small world after all
(Everybody now) it’s a small world after all, it’s a small, small, small, small world (can you hear me now?)
It’s a small world after all (come on, come on)
It’s a small, small, small, small world (come on, come on)
It’s a small world, after all (can you hear me now?)
It’s a small world after all (come on, come on)
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small, small, small, small world (pretty small eh)
It’s a small world after all, it’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all, it’s a small, small, small, small world
It’s a small world after all, it’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all, it’s a small, small, small, small world

Meh. Merely an understated explanation of why I detest Corporate Disney only slightly less than Satan….

How about the tunnel of love where there are animated maniquins dressed as a barber-shop quartet….and one looks like Tom Hanks!
