There’s a word not heard much these days, ‘splendid’. I think that’s awesome with awesome sauce.

Richard “Kinky” Friedman refers to house guests as “house pests” (an interesting guy, who’s not a wacko nut job like most of the other folks who have also run for governor of Texas).

So he grew up in that town for 18 years and has not seen any tourist sites but figures Scott has seen all of them “a million times”?

I do not remember that I ever saw him grinning like that (panel 4!)

Illogical. In panel 1, what he says is no explanation for not visiting them.

When my cousin came over to Amsterdam, where I currently live, on vacation last month, we ended up visiting many tourist destinations we wouldn’t have visited otherwise.

Does anyone actually say “splendid” in normal conversation?
