    That and the split infinitive are the two biggest grammar myths. They were originally meant merely as stylistic guidelines, but people wrongly interpreted them to be hard-and-fast rules.

    Ending a sentence with a preposition is something up with which I will not put.

    I don’t follow those rules, nevertheless i was a bit astonished the other day to hear David Attenborough end a sentence that way in the Emperor Penguins episode of animal Dynasties.
