If Cliff has a job in I.T., Oldbot should too. He’s at least as capable as Cliff.

Oldbot could be replace with automatic doors.

Oldbot’s toupee is missing. Maybe its magnetic composition erased Oldbot’s memory of it.

Maybe Oldbot could get a job at a Walmart.

After watching “The Orville Identity” and “Futurama”. I have come to the conclusion that when all advanced AI’s become sentient. They always go on a “bender” and want to “Kill all Humans”. So Oldbot is doing a fine job as a door stop and needs no upgrades.

Can I outsource my job to a robot?

Doctor Mal is pulling an old armed services trick. The NCO asks the men if any of them can drive a truck. Some sucker always raises his hand, whereupon he’s given a mop and told to drive it all over both floors of the barracks. Never volunteer.

Yeah, that is my 1970s TV commercial idea: guy in carwash pulls out a spray bottle, shoots a window, wiping it and says, “I used to work at a carwash, but then I went to ITT Tech!” Scene cuts to guy in computer room in front of a big mainframe, “They trained me to work with computers!” Guy pulls out spray bottle, shoots the glass front and wipes it clean, looking at the camera and smiling.

Theres a line about using a robot with a big foot in one of Asimov’s U.S.Robots books.
