April showers bring May flowers which bring Pilgrims to Massachusetts…

For lo, the winter is past, the rains have come and gone, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land.

I’m trying to figure out which character in the strip would be most likely to plant the flower, but I can’t decide on one.

This strip was written in 1972. So…Peace Man, and go flower power.

It was inadvertently planted by Woodstock, who ate some flower seeds, and then pooped on your front porch area …

I get sunflowers growing where the bird feeders were – a side benefit. Time to find the hummingbird feeders… :-)

The scene reminds me of a skit on Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In with a “poet” with a large flower, (maybe a sunflower), in his hands.
