Despite some great guesses yesterday (I was especially impressed by “mirmidon”, even misspelled), nobody got “underling”.

If there are underlings and overlords, who’s in between? Middle management?

I know what under means, but what is a ling?

Are we getting obscene here, and no one knows it?

Underling sounds lower to me. But Nelson is developing his vocabulary, albeit Grandpa and a movie may not be the best teacers.

Re: several of yesterday’s posts. Opal probably hides the candy for Earl’s own good. Maybe he’s borderline diabetic and has no self-control. Of course, he probably needs to hide some from her.

Grandpa is making Nelson feel good about himself….I say that is love!
