So, whatever happened to Rip now? Did he crash and die? Get knocked unconscious somewhere? Nearly drown until his body reached the shore? Is his body discovered by somebody else? Now I’m worried for him.
(This week is like one of the few times in the strip’s entire run I’ve seen a villain try to kill Rip off or succeed in defeating him for good, like in the strip’s first year when the Scorpion paralyzed Rip with a dart before tossing him into a sewer and he let a swarm of rats feed on him and a tidal wave carry his body off to sea until he’s nearly drowned and fallen unconscious, and then in the summer of 2012 when someone shot Rip dead and he was killed in his car crash or something, leaving him permanently dead for several years until he was brought back to life in an alternate universe, where he stayed for four years before finally returning to his original timeline.)
I think we can all agree that we have not seen the last of the man with the handsome chin and giggling knuckles. Perhaps he’s looking for a cave to stash the prisoners while planning a counter-defensive, which will no doubt give his fists a good laugh in the process.
In the meantime, let’s see is this place has any guts for sale. Here’s a guy that could certainly use some.
