Louie, first you have to deal with the guys weapon. Then the treats.

Clean the clock?? A German needs help again ‘cause of missing a reference here…

To ‘clean his clock’ means to beat him up, (or bite him, in Louie’s case) An odd idiom, I know, but English is a MOST peculiar language, and I can’t say I know the origin of that expression. I can’t say that is the best way to put it, but you will probably get others….

It’s a lot easier to check his hands for treats AFTER you clean his clock.

HerrB, in English, the Ziffernblatt is called the clock face. To clean it could mean to wipe everything off of it - to wipe it “clean.” In this instance, to “clean his clock” means to knock someone out, usually with a hit (or hits) to the face.

As harmbg said, it is an imperfect idiom but does have some reference to real life.
