People who decide to ride out a hurricane in spite of evacuation warnings should be left to their own devices. I have absolutely no sympathy. When the most recent storm hit Charleston, Eldest Daughter and her daughter and grandchildren all piled in the car and headed inland. As it turned out, the storm was not as bad as expected, but it was a classic case of better safe than sorry.

My brother is on a volunteer search and rescue crew in Caleversa CA….theses are the people they rescue….arrrggghhh
