Bonnie seems very open to getting together with Joe. I guess it wasn’t such a messy separation as we might have thought. Now, how will Joe react to the idea.
She may have parked him the Friend Zone, but that doesn’t mean he’s happy about it.Or perhaps he now has another girl back home she doesn’t know about. Our datapoints don’t line up yet.
Tracy is thinking “Mission accomplished. Bonnie is showing that there is still some attraction to Joe Sampson. Tess will be happy, and, since she’s happy, I can have some peace and quiet. Until Sam, Liz, or, even Pat, call in with some disaster that needs to be dealt with.”
The two-panel format is good when there is a lot of action and the space is needed for that purpose. However, two panels a day when it is dialogue seems only to slow the story down. If this were a novel, how many paragraphs per day is this story moving along?
Sure, Bonnie! He’s just following a lead on a case that’ll likely get you in mortal danger and require your Dad (not to mention half the metro police force) to get you out of; go for it, girl!
Uh, detective? I’m not one to question how you raise your kids, but maybe it’d be helpful to you if you put your investigative skills to work and find her a potential – and safe – husband.
Wow. “Things” seem to be far more mellow than I would have expected, more, even, than Tracy seems to have expected. The problem, or course, is that if Joe takes up her offer, she will unwittingly be putting herself even more conspicuously in line to become a target of the Butcher (as I choose to call our serial knife-killer)….
