Many years ago when I went on my 1st cruise, you had to step over the doorway to go out on the deck. After I came home I kept doing it when I went thru an out side door.
I took two cruises in 1965 to the Carribean. They lasted 3 months each. Compliments of Uncle Sam and the US Marine Corps. Every time the Navy goes out, there are Marines on board!

That used to happen to me when I was in the Navy. People in port thought we were all drunk as soon as we got off the ship.

Back in the day I would strip/wax floors for a living. I used to have great hirsute stripper’s legs.

Some people get very dizzy after a cruise. It’s called mal de debarquement (land sickness), kind of the opposite of mal de mer.

Trust me there is such a thing as sea legs, USN 65-95 5 Aircraft Carriers and 9 cruises of 9-11 months in length.

A cruise director once told me that you can tell who’s drunk on a cruise ship, they’re the ones walking in a straight line!!
