My friend, Bobbie, (see left), is not a long hair. I set her on my legs facing me, with her front feet on a towel. I use my fingertips and nails and gently working with a motion like scratching dry skin, work from the very back to the front. She digs her front claws in, scrunches up her eyes and purrs like mad. I come away with two good handfulls of furr and a happy cat.
Durn, Chuk. I’ve got way more face fuzz, but we could be twins!
Clark, I’ve had cats who liked it just fine, and I’ve known cats who liked it just fine whose owners couldn’t even touch them. The cats are fine. I just don’t think they liked you …after all, there’s no accounting for taste.
I know a cat who adores being vigously petted in random, variable directions and ends up looking just like Helen. Kitties are nothing if not individuals.
