the dollar coin is mis-colored in the comic, the coin is golden colored so it wouldn’t be mistaken for a quarter like previous dollar coins were. Of course that color is achieved with brass so people won’t try melting them down for greater profit. The only time I ever see them with regularity is when they’re given as change from metro card machines in the subway.

Recently saw a small stack of Mexican 20 peso coins on a park bench. Silver colored surrounding a yellow round center.
