Oh, don’t we all when someone we love with all our hearts has to go away for a long time. That’s what memories are for. They make the person we miss and the good times live again in your heart and you can smile while reliving the joys you knew together.

That’s okay, Michael. With your attention span, you’ll have completely forgotten that they were here 24 hours from now…

24 hours? You mean 24 minute when they walk past the airport gift shop or somthing shiny catches his eye.

Depending on your faith, Allan V, not even then.

Memories can be sweet, but they also remind you that the one you love isn’t there, so they can hurt too.

when I have to say good bye to my Grandchildren I remind them that I am always hugging them in my heart no matter what and we share the kissing hand moment

I remembered when I was teenager, Mum and I had visited Mum’s Aunt Em and distant cousins, Maude and Arthur at their house in Ritzville, WA way back in 1970’s. We stayed at their house for few days and then, we left their home after we told them Good bye. Mum’s Aunt Em started to cry. I asked Mum why did Aunt Em cry? She said that we would never know if they would live any longer or not. But we eventually visited them again someday. I missed them dearly because they were so wonderful.
