My husband had a secret recipe for the best spaghetti ever. He kept it a secret until 2010, when he almost died. When he survived, he figured that he’d best share it otherwise it would be lost forever. He made it & dictated to me while doing so, and I typed it (I AM a secretary, after all), and he’s even had our daughters help him so that they’d know it. Nowadays he’ll share it with anyone.
My grandmother made the BEST Irish soda bread. She said it was “A pinch of this…a pinch of that” But she took the recipe with her to the grave. . None of us know how to make it like her!
Speaking of Grandma, I miss her from the earlier days of this strip—riding in on her motorcycle, saying “Hiya, sweeties”, and so on. Wonder what she’s up to now … ?

The best way to keep a secret is to never tell anyone that there is a secret to keep.

Even grandma does not know the secret ingredient. That is why she keeps adding random stuff hoping to figure it out. Don’t eat it.

Reminds me of a PG-Rated Auntie Fee. May she rest in peace…
