A young neighbor girl spends a lot of time hitting a tennis ball against the garage door – we can hope for the future after all!

I use to use the steps in front of the house. Everybody had ball blowback then. Kids never get out of the house to play.

I used to keep walking closer until I couldn’t catch it any more. Helped with fielding response.

Was fun when houses had brick or solid wooden walls. Now.. that plastic siding just doesn’t stand up well.. or give a decent bounce.

It’s sad that you dont see kids playing outside like they used to. Jump rope, hula hoop, roller skating, etc, etc. Oops, I think my age may be showing.

Kids need to play outside, but then you have to worry about their safety with preditors on the loose.

There was one house we lived in when I was a kid that had a solid brick wall up to the gables on the driveway side. I missed that everywhere else.

a year or two ago I saw 3 young boys playing pirate in the back yards. what a joy. out on a rainy spring day. there’s hope. it still happens.

I used a tennis ball, the baseball wouldn’t come back fast enough.
